Quilting : Day Three (A Nine-Patch Texas Star Block)

So I've been busy painting a ceiling, wallpapering and carrying on with my quilting! (And developing a slight obsession with fabric shops) :S My mum also went about demolishing an old broken sofa, from which I have gained quite a lot of foam and stuffing for a future project I have in mind... :D Don't you just love recyling?!

[mum letting off some steam :P]

So I'm now up to six blocks out of 24 and seeing as they are nine-patch blocks, thought I'd give this texas star block a try from my "Complete Guide to Quilting Techniques" book. :) Here are the results:

[six blocks so far... more pleased with some than others but still...]
[...i haven't yet sewn on all of the pink borders because I can't decide how they're going to be arranged finally until I've made all twentyfour]

[my nine-patch texas star block which took twice as long as all of the other blocks thanks to tiny seams making four of the patches from tiny trianges (each patch is only 4"x4" including hems).]
