NWA - What is FAITH anyway?

One of my best bits of New Word Alive this year was theologian Mike Reeves on Abraham. The theme for the evening meetings was Heroes of the Faith from Hebrews 11. He spoke about how our faith does not depend on the faithfulness of us, but on the faithfulness of our God - the one in whom we are putting our trust. Hence, the more we know our God, the more we will see His faithfulness, and the more we will trust him and put our faith in Him.

He said "faith is less like doing pushups, and more like eating" because God delights to be known as ours (Hebrews 11:16), and he delights to give to us, and rejoices when people receive from him. It's not down to us to work up a great faith from within ourselves... God has promised, so there is nothing to doubt.
