On Finishing Uni...

So I thought that I should maybe write a little something about leaving uni and all that that's going on at the moment seeing as it's quite a bit deal with people leaving, getting jobs, moving house and what not...

  • I finished on 16th May but I don't get my results until 24th June, I'm hoping for a 2:1. I'm pretty confident because I think all of the results that I have received for individual assignments this year have been on target for that but I have two whole modules to hear back from yet so... I guess we'll see. Graduation will *hopefully* be on 14th July.
  • I have been applying for lots of jobs and am currently waiting to hear back from about 25-30 that I've sent CVs/covering letters for. Two of particular interest are for a French speaking administrator for a 'fashion house' (whatever that means - sorry, I'm so ignorant about these things!) in Preston; and the other one for a customer service assistant on Virgin trains which I would LOVE... I've always said I'd love to have that job and then I got a message from them with a vacancy that had come up based from Preston last week. Woop!
  • We've *hopefully* got a house sorted for next year which will be lovely. I'm living with two out my three current housemates again, and we've got a house on one of my faaavourite streets in Preston, with TWO reception rooms, and a GARDEN. :) :) I will post pictures when we've moved in which will be hopefully on 4th July.
  • I'm really sad so many of our friends are leaving Preston and heading off around the country for jobs/home/summer... it hasn't really sunk in yet that uni is over and we're not all going to be back in September, and I guess our lives will never have the same degree of freedom (and lack of responsibility) again. Kind of makes me wonder whether or not I've made the most of it whilst I've had it....

shoutout to walesy. the one current housemate i won't be living with again next year, and one of the many people I will be very sad to say goodbye to. :(

  1. Oh goodness, so much happening and changing, yes? Though difficult, it's exciting to think of all God has in store for you with these new changes. I keep up with your twitter via texts and have been thinking about you (and praying!) with all the job stuff. You've been one busy lady!

I've been reading your posts as well, but for some reason my work computer dislikes networking sites. So it won't let me comment, but you always bring a smile when I get to stop by. :) Now I have a new computer so hopefuly it will let me. I'm looking forward to hearing news of a job and pictures of your house!
