thought i'd update this as the last post was from a couple of weeks ago and quite a lot is going on at the moment!
here is us at the comedy store in manchester nearly 2 weeks ago

was a good night... few dodgy jokes but, mainly just quite funny. i do love this comedian called jack whitehall who was there.. he's quite famous actually, found a video of him on jimmy carr's 8 out of 10 cats on youtube so... that was good!
On the work front... I got my learner profile in, and my research proposal, (although I stayed up all night last monday to finish that...fun times!) and i also had my trinity interview on thursday which I think went ok... i tried to see his sheet whether I'd passed or not... and i saw that 5 out of the 6 boxes that needed to be ticked were ok.. but missed the 6th so.. we shall see! I'm not sure when we find out! Also, went out for a chinese buffet with some people from my course which was really nice, watched the football in the adelphi for the first time ever... or part of it anyway... met up with my good friend nathan in preston and we sat in roper beer garden and ate smothered chicken :)
generally, it's been a really nice few weeks, I then wasted away this weekend watching films and snacking and catching up on iplayer stuff. the documentary about claire richards documentary about her losing weight before her wedding is really good! church yesterday was good as usual, we finished 2 Thessalonians in the morning, and were on Ecclesiastes 3 in the evening, about TIME. evening services are very philosophical and interesting right now. speaking of philosophy... i'm now back to the grindstone... working on my essay for my elective module of Christianity, Science and History. To be fair... yes I should have started quite a long time ago... but I like working under pressure, I think I work better this way. So I'm surrently on 598/4000 words, and it's due on Wednesday, after the module exam, and I'll have a viva for it where I have to sit and talk about it with my tutor for about half an hour I think. But I'm quite looking forward to it!
It's quite nice to be writing an essay about something I'm actually interested in and quite passionate about for a change. Sorry, but second language acquisition...whilst inspiring a few minutes of passing interest, is just not as grabbing as "Discuss the validity or otherwise of Richard Dawkins' views on religion in general and Christianity in particular." I might even post my essay on here when I've finished it if I'm sufficiently pleased with it. I really want to get a first...although I probably won;t because of my COGNITIVE BIAS against everything Dawkins believes and promotes. But still... interesting!
I;ve been reading 'The Dawkins Delusion' by Alistir and Joanna McGrath too in prepartion for this essay, which I recommend if you're interested in it at all.
So yes... back to the grindstone I should probably go. Or as I wrote SEVERAL times in my last post... crack on! :)
ps. Sorry this isn't a very objective post about something interesting... just me faffing and procrastinating about my life. sorry!:D
