Read these verses in Job and was pretty "frapped" by them (as the Belgians would say), and had just never noticed them before! (I guess I've never really read Job before). To be honest I don't really get how they fit in considering everything else he's saying like, in the Old Testament context and how it changes between chapters 9 and 16. But I always find Job confusing because a lot of the time what his friends say seems to be right…? But he's always like "oh hang long will I have to listen to you?!" But anyway, with hindsight and knowing about Jesus, these verses are just pretty amazing!
"He (God) is not a man like me that I might answer him, that we might confront each other in court. If only there were someone to arbitrate between us, to lay his hands upon us both, someone to remove God's rod from me, so that his terror would frighten me non more. Then I would speak up without fear of him, but as it now stands with me, I cannot." Job 9:32-35
"Even now my witness is in heaven; my advocate is on high. My intercessor is my friend as my eyes pour out tears to God; on behalf of a man he pleads with God as a man pleads for his friend." Job 16:19-21
