Caution: you can probably tell from the title, but this post does not comply with my new, 'don't blog something that's not worth giving up time to read' rule.
But I'm quite proud of myself, look what I made:
Yeah, banana bread IS supposed to be bread shaped. But sadly, I only have a rather large normal cake tin. Still tastes good though. And with bananas in... it's healthy! Right?
So I'm twenty three years old and have been trying to follow Jesus as best I can for 11 years now... I live and work in the North West of England and blog mainly for my own amusement. It helps me to think things through but if you've stopped by then thanks! I hope that you can find something you enjoy here too! I know that my heart is sinful but that I've been saved by a great and gracious and willing God and Saviour! :)

"There was a day when I died, utterly died: died to George Muller, his opinions, preferences, tastes and will; died to the world, its approval or censure; died to the approval or blame even of my brethren and friends. And since then, I have studied only to show myself 'approved unto God.'" - George Muller

"Prone to wander, prone to leave the God I love
O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I’m constrained to be!
Let Thy goodness, like a fetter,
Bind my wandering heart to Thee.
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love;
Here’s my heart, O take and seal it,
Seal it for Thy courts above."

The bride eyes not her garment,
But her dear bridegroom's face,
I will not gaze at glory,
But on my King of Grace,
Not at the crown He giveth,
But on pierced hand,
The Lamb is all the glory,
Of Immanuel's Land.
-The Sands of Time Are Sinking, Samuel Rutherford
May God bless us with discomfort at easy answers, half-truths, and superficial relationships - so that we may live deep within our hearts. May God bless us with anger at injustice, oppression, and exploitation of people - so that we may work for justice, freedom, and peace. May God bless us with tears to shed for those who suffer pain, rejection, hunger, and war - so that we may reach out our hand to comfort them and to turn their pain into joy. And may God bless us with enough foolishness to believe that we can make a difference in the world - so that we can do what others claim cannot be done, to bring justice and kindness to all our children and the poor.
Amen. (Franciscan Benediction)

"For God alone oh my soul, wait in silence
for my hope is from Him.
He is my only rock and my salvation,
my fortress.
I shall not be shaken.
On God rests my salvation, my glory,

Trust in him at all times people,
pour your heart out before him,
God is a refuge for us."
