Jour de Congé

The past couple of days in Belgium have been simply lovely. It's so nice to come back this time to sunshine! Saturday was my day off as there are things going on every day the upcoming week, I decided to head on down to one of the coooolest places I've found in Brussels, which is less than ten minutes walk from where I live: Place Flagey.

The big building on the left is Flagey. Or the centre flagey. Something like that, it's kind of a cultural centre, they have concerts, expos and films there. Recently it hosted an animation film festival.

I didn't go in there though, I went to this amazing little lakey park next to it, after having visited the oxfam bookshop just nearby and made some new purchases. I'm lately in the mood for the reading of something profound. I bought a book for €0.50 from the children's section called 'T'as tout pour être heureuse'... so we'll see how that goes.

I bought a white strawberry magnum. Something I've been wanting to do ever since I first spotted them in Carrefour months ago, but never had the chance. And I still got some funny looks walking along with it, Belgians don't really seem to eat in the street.

I sat by this tree, for a fair few hours, just with my book and some wild geese and ducks (not recommended if you have a nervous disposition).

And I took some photos oh so *inconspiciously*.

I've recently discovered how to 'fix' photos and enhance colours, tint, contrast, brightness etc. which may become a new hobby. It was still super sunny though. The camera never lies.
