The Week I've Been Waiting For

Wow, yes well I have been waiting for various events in this week for a long time. First off the moving out of 54 :( and driving home, then the training day with IFES in Oxford today... and then Jen's wedding on Saturday!! :D

Today was really brilliant though, really useful. And though I guess quite overwhelming in terms of information and I guess.... realising a bit more and letting it sink in a bit more that I am moving to Belgium in like... 2-3 months. Ahh!

We started today with a Bible study in 1 Peter though, I love these verses that I think I only really first appreciated on the church houseparty this year, they're from chapter 2, vs 4-5 & 9

As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him— you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ...you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light."

Love it!

We learnt loads today, I am really excited now about ways of talking to people about the work next year, and doing prayer letters and partnering with people in the Gospel, and helping people to feel involved in the ministry. And whilst I am looking for financial support now that I didn't think Id have to, I still really want a good strong support base of people who really understand what the work is about and to really pray for me. If one thing became clearer today, it's the fact that I can't do anything without God and if I try to go in my own strength, I won't be able to achieve anything because it seems like the only qualification I really have to be doing this work is that fact that I'm a student. But that's great! Please pray for me, and comment me with your email address or something if you'd like me to put you on my prayer letter list. I guess this blog will do pretty much the same job, but I'd love to know who to thank for their prayers and support. :)

I also met the other girl who is coming to Brussels today which was great, quite reassuring I think to know that it's someone I like and will get along with, and someone who knows abit more about what's going on than me I think. So thats great.

Anyway, I'm gonna go cus I need to shower and pack for tomorrow. I'm heading back up to Preston tomorrow, going to Waterworld in Stoke on Trent on Friday for Ben's birthday, and then Leyland on Saturday for Jen and Nick's wedding which I am absolutely, immeasurably excited about! AHHHHHH! :D

so bye for now! thanks for reading! xx
