Who Am I?

This a cool video I found ages ago... to the song who am i? by casting crowns. We were talking about this song on the Girls reading week and it kind of struck me how true the words are. Casting Crowns songs generally are like that... thinking of Here I go again, about how we so easily talk about meaningless, worldly things to our friends, when it could be our last chance to tell them the Gospel and talk to them about Jesus. Or even today I was listening to the altar and the door on spotofy, I dont actually own that album, and a song called slow fade also struck me where it says

"It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
Daddies never crumble in a day
Families never crumble in a day"

Below are the lyrics to the 'Who am I?" song in the video though. Similar theme I thought to "And can it be, that I should gain, an interest in the saviours blood, died he for me who caused his shame, for me who him to death pursued, amazing love how can it be, that thou my God shouldst die for me?" It should be a new classic

Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart

Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You're

I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
A vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours

Who Am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love and watch me rise again
Who Am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me

I am Yours
Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
'Cause I am Yours
I am Yours
