Wow, well I've got a LOT to blog about... but I'll start here, with this amAzing book I've just finished reading...
It's called 'Shining Like Stars' by forer IFES General Secretary, Lindsay Brown.
I'll be honest and say I've seen this book on bookstalls several times and it's never particularly stood out to me, i picked it up and read the blurb on the back several times but never actually bought it. Graciously... God had the lovely IFES staff send a copy to everyone doing InterAction this next year, and I really can't thank Him enough for it.
It is genuinely one of the best books I've ever read. It will move you to tears with stories of what He has done, and how he has used students around the world, in some of the toughest situations you can imagine, to reach others with the Gospel. If you're interested in finding out more about IFES, read this book, it describes where IFES came from, why it does certain things the way it does, and it's vision of reaching every country with higher education, with it's own national student movement to preach the Gospel.
Really, really, really, reaaaaaaaally... read this book. You won't be able to put it down and I hope it will make you praise God who has worked in all of these people's lives, and graciously used them, living and speaking for Jesus, around the world.
