two weeks to go!

so it's exactly 2 weeks today until I board to eurostar for Brussels. This time in two weeks... I will be there! (God - willing of course) but it's quite scary. There's still so much I feel like I need to do and things to photocopy and fill in and remember to get hold of to take with me! :S

Just thought I'd take a moment to reflect on getting this far... I think I knew ever since I heard of InterAction that I'd like to do it for my year out if possible... but still it took me until March this year to actually finish the form and send it in. And even then... it was only when I went for the interview that I became convinced that it was actually Brussels I should go to rather than Nice... even though God had put me in the path of a girl who had been doing the same thing in Brussels LAST year... who was doing the exact same course as me even... and who I talked to quite a lot about it. I just like the sun lol... but now... I am MEGA excited. :)

It was amazing that my university allowed me to pursue this really, as a lot of uni's say you HAVE to go as a language assisstant, or you HAVE to go as a student. So I'm really thankful to God for that, and for the support of my family and friends. It's so encouraging every time someone takes an interest and asks how things are going, or asks what they can pray for me for... all these little things just make me feel so blessed to have such an amazing group of friends and family. :)

At the start of the summer I went to the training day at the office in Oxford, it was lovely to meet Lucy who is the other InterAction worker in Brussels this coming year, it made it all feel a bit more real... and since then the time has just flown by!! I'm really thankful for the advice gievn on that day about support raising... both prayerful and financial because over the course of the summer... especially in the last few weeks and days.. it's been really incredible to see God just providing for everything and moving people's hearts to give financially and I really can't say thank you enough to Him for it.

So I'm heading off to the Orientation Conference at Otford Manor in Kent tomorrow, it runs from tomorrow until next Thursday (27th), and I look forward to writing a blog all about it when I get back!

Thanks again for your interest and support.

Much love, glory to God.
xx
